Some 30 employees of Sunwestville Realty and Development Corporation (SRDC) suited up to partake in the biggest advocacy for our oceans, the International Clean-up Day on September 21, 2019 at Tula-Tula, Legazpi City.

With their hand-made spears and tools, the employee-volunteers collected a total of 35 bags of garbage, identified as plastic, cans, boughs, and other extraneous materials which were harmful to water forms.

Ms. Maria Teresa Lumibao, HR Supervisor said, “It has been an annual volunteering activity of SRDC, not just as part of the company’s social responsibility, but as the employees way of helping nature. In this small way, we know, we can make a difference.”

SRDC, with its commitment to support environmental sustainability programs, previously chose Tula-Tula Canal when it joined the Department of Environment and Natural Resources’ Adopt-a-Estero Program in 2018.
