July 13, 2020 | by Kathleen Navarro

Thirty five women employees of Sunwestville Realty and Development Corporation (SRDC) completed the third and final dose of the vaccine for HPV (Human Papillomavirus) on July 10, 2020.

The said immunization is part of the “Laban Para sa Kababaihan, Proteksyon sa Kinabukasan” Program of the Department of Health (DOH), as a drive to battle the second-most common cancer affecting women in the Philippines after breast cancer.

The vaccination of the first dose was on November 8, 2019, then, after 2 months, January 8, 2020 was the second dose, conducted by Nurse Joan Basco of Albay Public Safety and Emergency Management Office.

Ms. Jane Benitez, an employee of SRDC who completed the 3 doses of the vaccine expressed her gratitude to DOH and the Management of SRDC for giving vaccine for HPV. “It alleviates our worries and fear of getting cervical cancer, which is one of the most fatal illnesses in the country. Thank you to DOH for providing it for free and to SRDC for bringing this cause for their employees.”

SRDC, in partnership with the government agencies, commits to prioritize the health and safety of its employees.
